ABSTRACT: Changes in the United States following 9/11 have had a direct impact on higher education. This chapter discusses policy issues that affect the access of internationall students to education in the United States and the role of student services in facilitating and fostering a welcoming environment. The author presents recommendations for student services practitioners and researchers to enhance international education in the United States.
