This new report from the National Centers for Career and Technical Education describes a cohort of CTE students, including course-taking trends and student characteristics. The study attempts to predict enrollment trends in CTE using statistical procedures.

This essay considers the role of communigy colleges in workforce training. In particular, the authors discuss community colleges' role in vertical and horizontal transitions. They stress that much attention has been placed on vertical transtions (from secondary school to community college, then to work), while less emphasis has been placed on horizontal transitions (returning to the community college from the workforce or attending the community college while working).

This report provides assistance to community colleges on how to improve the academic and economic success of low-skilled adults. It provides strategies that community colleges can implement to aid remedial students and other "at-risk" students to succeed in education and in the workforce.

This article discusses the role of career and technical education in improving educational outcomes for the two-thirds of high school graduates who do not complete a college credential.
