Dr. Laanan publishes new study on transfer students

Dr. Frankie Santos Laanan recently published a study in the Journal of Community College Research and Practice on transfer students from California community colleges. The Laanan-Transfer Students' Questionnaire was used to study the quality of effort, student involvement, and culture shock of transfer students. The study sought to operationalize the transfer adjustment process by going beyond the academic aspect of transfer to consider the social and psychological aspects of the transfer process.
