National Leader Joins the Community College Leadership Program at Iowa State University
The Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies (ELPS) and the Community College Leadership Program (CCLP) are pleased to announce the hiring of Dr. Margot Perez-Greene as a faculty clinician. She comes to Iowa State University from the University of Texas at Austin where she served as Director of the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) since 1999. From 1995-1999 she served as Vice President of Enrollment Management and Student Development at Iowa Central Community College (ICCC) in Fort Dodge, Iowa. In her role at ICCC, she was recognized for her outstanding leadership in the areas of transformation and change, increasing student enrollment, and enhanced student activities and athletic programs. She has held leadership positions at Brookhaven College (TX), Cuyahoga Community College (OH), and Austin Community College (TX). She has a wide range of experiences with all ages and more than a decade of instructional and student service experience at the community college and university levels.
At Iowa State University she will teach graduate courses in the Community College Leadership program for Master's and Ph.D. students. She will coordinate the off-campus CCLP Master's as well as develop and implement a teaching and learning academy for community college faculty. Dr. Perez-Greene completed her B.A. in Education and Sociology from St. Edward's University, M.A. in Counselor Education from Arizona State University, and Ph.D. in Educational Administration with an emphasis in Community College Leadership from the University of Texas at Austin.
