In student affairs, assessment efforts are evolving and permeating professional practice. If the "culture of assessment" becomes reality in student affairs, its stewards will be today's graduate students. This workshop for both graduate students and faculty (1) reviews a study of preparation program curriculum regarding the extent to which graduate programs prepare students to conduct assessment or evaluation activities and (2) provides interactive experience with empowerment models for teaching and learning about assessment and research to bridge the gap in creating a "culture of assessment."
