Mary Darrow is a Program Coordinator working with the Office of Community College Research and Policy (OCCRP) and the ISU College of Engineering's transfer student initiatives through the NSF Student Enrollment and Engagement through Connections (SEEC) project. She has served as chair of the Professional and Scientific Council's Recruitment and Retention Committee and currently serves on the President's Retention Task Force. Before coming to Iowa State in 2002, she worked at DMACC as a coordinator for high school programming. She has led various initiatives pertaining to Tech Prep/Perkins and School to Work at the regional and state levels. She is a PhD student in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies with an emphasis in Higher Education. Her research interests include community college transfer students and institutional change as it relates to transfer student programming. She completed her Bachelor's in biology and general science and Master's of science in education degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
